It is unpardonable and suicidal for an artiste to misfire in his FIRST DISS TRACK. Why?, because First blood leaves a lasting impression in the minds of people.
Let me give you historical facts to back my case.
Tupac went for the Kill against BIGGIE when he drew the first blood and has stayed with us forever.
Nas Escoba drew the first blood EFFECTIVELY against JAY Z and is always remembered..
Remy Ma is the talk of town today because her FIRST SHOT is full of fire.
Let’s come home. EX DOE didn’t miss the golden opportunity in “MA BA” he puts his best foot forward and is always ajudged as one of the best beef songs.
In recent times, SAMINI gave his best in his FIRST DISS TRACK to wale ” GBEE BI”
There is no second chance in BEEF SONGS especially when you promise much and deliver little in your FIRST ATTEMPT…
This should be a lesson to potential beef makers. PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD in your first attempt, because there may not be a second chance.
Everybody were expecting Yaa Pono to have come out with a diss song with the term “Say fi” since he was the one who first dared Shatta Wale to say fi only to release a song titled “Noko” which many classified as wackest diss track they list expected from Yaa Pono.
Shatta Wale with his experience quickly capitalized on that and released a commercial banger and titled it “Say Fi” which has become an instant hit all over.
There is no doubt that Shatta has taken the lead, it’s not about how many songs you do but the impact your first diss track will make.
