14 Facts You Should Know About Samira Bawumia

1. Samira Bawumia is the second lady of Ghana for that matter the wife of Vice President of Ghana, Hon. Mahamudu Bawumia.

2. Samira Bawumia was a beauty contestant, lifestyle TV presenter now turned politician.


3. Samira was born to a politician, Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan, the National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) and Hajia Ayesha Ramadan and she is their only daughter. Despite her father’s political leaning, Samira has risen to become a leading member of the New Patriotic Party.

4. One of her brothers is a staunch member of the National Democratic Congress.
Samira is a polyglot with five languages; Ewe, Ga, Twi, Fanti and her husband’s native tongue, Mamprusi, rolling off her tongue effortlessly.


5. She read BA Social Science in Law and Sociology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

6. Samira was adjudged the Student in Master of Business Administration (MBA) for Project Management at GIMPA.

10. Mrs Samira Bawumia has one best friend, Mrs Joyce Attafuah, wife of Prof Ken Attafuah, whom she describes as a sister.
